Having worked in the City of London since 2003, Olivers wealth management career has seen him manage clients through the biggest economic challenge since the great depression. Having earned his stripes at HBOS plc, Bank of Scotland Investment Service an environment that provided Oliver with a strong traditional grounding for advising private and business clients. In 2010 Oliver was asked to become lead advisor to Alexander Associates Group, a well-respected St. James’s Place Practice and in January 2013 Oliver started his own St. James’s Place Practice thus enabling him to grow his own boutique wealth management firm upon the invite of the St. James’s Place Directors.
Oliver is an experienced and professionally qualified financial planner. He is a member of The Personal Finance Society and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning awarded by the Chartered Institute of Insurers. Oliver is currently working towards Chartered Status. Oliver lives in Kent with his wife Charlotte and they have two children. When time affords Oliver enjoys fly fishing. Oliver is a Director of the Atlantic Salmon Trust a charity working for the future of wild salmon and sea trout.
Charlotte since graduation from the UWA in 1997 has worked in research functions in both public and private sectors (including the National Maritime Museum and London Business School). In more recent times she has honed her research skills primarily in Executive Recruitment and Search and Selection. Prior to joining Charlotte was providing Consultancy Services in Executive Search, specialising in the area of Compensation and Benefits, having been Head of Research at Total Reward Careers. She also has a key interest in how technology can be applied to better manage client relationships. Charlotte has an invaluable role as the lynchpin that holds together both the daily and long-term mechanics and operations of our practice. A keen horse woman Charlotte enjoys all things Equestrian and is currently teaching her children how to ride.
James has been actively analysing, investing and managing investment vehicles for the last 19 years. James started his career at State Street Global Advisers as an assistant fund manager. He was invited to join Baring Asset Management in, BAM, 1998 and helped in the multi asset group focusing on asset allocation decisions. The latter part of his stint at BAM he headed research into hedge funds and actively participated in the running of BAM’s Fund of Hedge Fund products. After a short stay at Morgan Stanley, James returned to discretionary fund management by heading up research into long only and hedge funds at a quasi-family office. James is a graduate of the London Guildhall University. He holds the Investment Managers Certificate. James was awarded the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Designation in February 2004. He was awarded the Chartered Market Technicians Designation in May 2010. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurers.
